This is a photograph in the style of Hattie Stewart. I made this photograph by taking a photo from an i-D magazine and drawing over it using felt tip colour pens and a black sharpie. I started by drawing a small pattern of purple and yellow coming out of the model's eye. I then drew drool coming out her mouth just like the artist Hattie Stewart does. I coloured the lips black to give it effect and also added patterns that I saw from one of Hattie Stewarts photographs. I did this because I wanted to make the photograph look very similar to Hattie Stewarts photos by taking in ideas from her other photographs. What went well with this photograph is the patterns and the colours used and their place, it gives the photo more effect. What I dislike about this photograph is that I left the background plain, it looks like there isn't enough patterns and doodles. I can improve this by drawing more patterns in the background.
Hattie Stewart Observation Shot 1
This is a photograph I made in the style of the artists Hattie Stewart. This a photo I took of my model. I then went on photo shop and then took a picture from Hattie Stewart and took inspiration from it. I coloured half of the models face red and drew black patterns on the inside. Then I drew other patterns, like a splatter of paint and a like a raindrop in white on the other half of the models face. I did this because the picture I was taking inspiration from had the colours white, black and red, and also had the same patterns. What went well with this photograph is the patterns, quality and lighting. What I dislike about this photo is that the models face is too plain, and that there isn't enough patterns. To improve this I would add more patterns to make it look more interesting.
Hattie Stewart Observation Shot 2
This is the second photograph I made in photo shop, in the style of Hattie Stewart. I took one of my photographs that I had taken at home, and started by taking a background one of Hattie Stewarts pictures, and I put it as my background. I then started by drawing very large eyes, over the model's eyes. I then drew over the models nose and made it into a sort of skeleton nose, then I drew over the model's mouth and tried to make it look like outer space was bursting out of the model's mouth. When I had done this, I started to draw patterns all over the model's face. I did this because it was to be in the same style as the picture I was taking inspiration from, from Hattie Stewart. What went well with this photograph is the quality, patterns and the lighting. What I dislike about this photograph is the background is bad quality. To improve this photograph I would use a background with good quality or draw the background myself.
Hattie Stewart Observation Shot 3
This is a photograph I made in the style of Hattie Stewart. I didn't take inspiration from any of Hattie Stewart's pictures for this photograph. The first thing I did was copy and paste one of Hattie Stewarts backgrounds as my background. I then took a photo I took of my model and I outlined it using the colour black. I then used the paint fill tool in photo shop and coloured it in. I then drew over the glasses of the model to give the photograph more effect. I also rubbed out some of the colour near the outlines, so that the viewer can see the background more and to give it more effect. I made this photograph in this style because I wanted to try something new. What went well with this photograph is the quality, colour and texture. I don't see anything I could do to improve this photograph.
Hattie Stewart Observation Shot 4
I made this by getting my model to stand in front of a plain blue wall and to face the side, so I could take a side shot. I then went on photo shop started by first drawing over the model's mouth, and again tried to make it look like outer space, by drawing in the stars inside. I then, taking inspiration from a picture from Hattie Stewart, drew 'drool' in the colour white coming out of the model's mouth and dripping all the down his neck. I then drew over the model's nose and drew the pattern on the model's forehead. After that I drew over the model's hair in the colour white. I made it spiky because of the picture I was taking inspiration from. I then started to draw lightning bolts on one side of the hair, and a bunch of other random patterns on the other side of the model's hair. What went well with this photograph is the quality, patterns and lighting. What I dislike about this photograph is that the background is too pain. To improve this I would have added something in the background to make it more interesting.
Hattie Stewart Observation shot 5
I made this photograph by getting my model to stand in front of a plain blue wall. I took a sideway shot because I felt that this page needed more. I took the photograph and edited it on photo shop. The first thing I did was open up a picture from Hattie Stewart and I blended it together with my photograph, until it looked like this, where you can only see the patterns from Hattie Stewarts picture, and not there face. I then went over some of the patterns in white, to give it more effect and so it was easier to see. What went well with this picture is the patterns and how they stand out, the quality and the lighting. What I dislike about this picture is that there isn't enough colours. To improve this I would of added more colour, to make it look more colour and give the photograph more effect.
